RE: Developer Revisions of Dolphin Are Slow For Me. - kirbypuff - 03-22-2015 That was pretty fast. Now all that's left is to update to the latest development build: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ (4.0-5921 as of this writing) 4.0-5710 is a bit old and full of issues. RE: Developer Revisions of Dolphin Are Slow For Me. - sc945 - 03-22-2015 I'm on 4.0.5917 now. It's still recommended to update to 4.0-5921 (this build fixes the broken hotkeys issue). Yep, I hadn't noticed before, but now I'm on 4.0-5921 and hotkeys are working fine. Quote:With those settings and 6xIR* everything looks almost perfect [at 1080p]. One of the reasons why I would avoid DX11 in 4.0.2 or Direct3D in the later versions was that the anti-aliasing wasn't that good, even on the maximum pass and quality, yet there would be a huge performance hit. The 4 x SSAA in OpenGL/DX9 was a lot better. I had thought of down-sampling, but the maximum was 4xIR in the drop down menu, and it didn't really compare with the 4 x SSAA in OpenGL. Also I am new to AMD and their drivers (only had Nvidia cards in the past) and I never seriously decided to figure out how to do it through the driver (although I know you can.) But the ini-fix in your thread was just wanted I wanted/needed. It is great now to be able to have the same image-quality in DX11, because I also like to use injectors like SweetFx, which are Direct X only. And also some games work better in DX than OpenGL. RE: Developer Revisions of Dolphin Are Slow For Me. - kirbypuff - 03-23-2015 Driver-based downsampling (VSR) is still not available for most AMD GPUs (your R9 280 is one of those [still unsupported] cards). You'll have to wait for the next version of the "Omega" drivers to get that feature. But 6xIR in Dolphin works well and it's faster and more stable than any kind of driver-based downsampling. If you don't like editing .ini files and want that feature integrated into the UI, you can use this custom build of Dolphin: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-ishiiruka-dolphin-custom-version It goes up to 8xIR (that's 5K res.).
