RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - Sonicadvance1 - 03-29-2015 They are, but you can't expect ARM to generate a driver that supports desktop OpenGL. RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - format_c - 03-29-2015 Does it mean that we can't expect to run dolphin better on the GS6 than on the Shield Tab ? RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - Sonicadvance1 - 03-29-2015 I wasn't expecting performance to be higher than the K1 SoCs. RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - format_c - 03-29-2015 Ok, thanks for the info, i will not expect too much as well then
RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - agrabren - 03-31-2015 It's always going to be based on where the performance bottleneck is. If the problem is emulating the CPU, then faster CPUs will equate to faster emulation. If the bottleneck is at the graphics rendering (which can either be caused by a slow GPU or by the availability of graphics APIs ), then the GPU will be the deciding factor. Likely, with Dolphin, this varies from game to game and even scene to scene. RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - zxcvbad - 03-31-2015 Actually it's not that bad on Galaxy S6 RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - Nintonito - 03-31-2015 (03-31-2015, 09:00 AM)zxcvbad Wrote: Actually it's not that bad on Galaxy S6 Define "not that bad". Â Quantify it. RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - Sonicadvance1 - 03-31-2015 I mean...He /did/ link to a video of the SGS6 running Dolphin... RE: Samsung Galaxy S6 - agrabren - 03-31-2015 It would be great to see something more taxing, like Twilight Princess. Once you get near high 50s for FPS, it's hard to tell if the emulator is maxing out the performance or if the device is.
