Speaking from my experience as laptop modder , I advise against overclocking i5 . Mobile mobo ain't as good as desktop mobo .
Next gen broadwell is basically haswell with better iGPU and you can't upgrade to skylake unless you replace the mainboard that support it .
i7 4790k is the best bang for buck here

That's a lot of cash just to play 1 game, must be nice. Btw you will probably only be able to upgrade to the same 980m that this manufacturer offers now in the future. Most companies make their parts specific to the laptop design.

It's not just this game but it's definitely my favorite. Since the past months came mostly nothing with this sorta fun to play i hope that the next months will be more enjoyable ;-). I upgraded from an Asus G73JH so it was also time to upgrade to new standards like ssd etc.
