Mac is not reading Wii Disc - richiemellow - 12-05-2014
Hi,
I installed Dolphin v4.0 in my Mac in hopes to substitute my Wii (burned motherboard). When I insert the disc in the DVD/CD unit the system won't recognize it. Therefore, I cannot open the game from the emulator.
I have done the normal steps to install any app since I browsed for instructions on how to install it but did not find any for Mac.
Am I missing something?
Any help file I can use?
Do you know if it is because I recently updated to Yosemite?
I am clueless.

Yeah, continuing from what Dan said, you either need that special drive, or get a replacement motherboard for your wii and dump the games on there. You can get a cheap wii board from eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=270977884549

Or just install the homebrew channel and use cleanrip like 99% of people do.
