Settings 'overridden by game.ini' - how to fix? - Mayh3M - 12-01-2014 I am trying to play Super Mario Sunshine but some of my settings are being overridden. These include widescreen hack and custom textures. I tried changing the game ini file by properties>edit config. For example I added: [Video_Settings] wideScreenHack = True But this made no difference. RE: Settings 'overridden by game.ini' - how to fix? - JMC47 - 12-01-2014 It should be overriding your custom textures setting. If it's disabling the widescreen hack, it's doing it for your own protection. RE: Settings 'overridden by game.ini' - how to fix? - Mayh3M - 12-01-2014 Well I installed a HD texture pack for the game, so how do I stop this from being overridden so I can actually use it? I've also seen others use both the texture pack and the widescreen hack at the same time with no problems. RE: Settings 'overridden by game.ini' - how to fix? - JMC47 - 12-01-2014 There's a widescreen code that works, the widescreen hack does not work well with Mario Sunshine, though. I don't know why custom textures would be overridden though. All in all gameinis are irrelevant with that. All in all gameinis are irrelevant with that. Yes there is. [Video_Settings] HiresTextures = true/false RE: Settings 'overridden by game.ini' - how to fix? - Link_to_the_past - 12-02-2014 (12-02-2014, 01:38 AM)RachelB Wrote:(12-01-2014, 11:57 PM)Link_to_the_past Wrote:(12-01-2014, 10:29 AM)JMC47 Wrote: I don't know why custom textures would be overridden though. They are not, it is either a problem with the pack, with where it was put or dolphin in general, there is no gameini option about it that overrides it. He would merely have to revert what he has done. Still that is good to know. RE: Settings 'overridden by game.ini' - how to fix? - Mayh3M - 12-02-2014 I'll try a re-install at some point. Although my wii games work perfectly with texture add-ons. |
