Can't select input device from drop down menu - wightwhale - 11-22-2014
I go into the GCPad config and i see three options ie keyboard xbox controller 1 and xbox controller 2. When I try and click any of them they just disappear from the device field and it's left blank.
Is there any way around this issue?

I updated to build 4.0-4252 and now I'm able to select dInput0 / keyboard but my options for xbox controller 1 and xbox controller 2 have disappeared.

Are they showing up as a device in Windows?

Yes they both show up under microsoft common controller for windows class and work with other games.

Grab the latest build, see if its still there, since I can't replicate the problem.

I tried again on build 4.0-4277 and they're still missing. Maybe it has something to do with being plugged into a usb hub.

Possible? try it out.
If not, Google search DirectX web installer, and then download and run, as it may contain a dependency for XInput devices.

I have them show up in dxdiag as controllers and my directX is up to date. The same issue persists when plugging in directly to the computer as it does when I plug it into the usb hub.

That's super weird.
Can you post a picture of your GCpad panel?
