Bad performance in Zelda games - TheShtank - 11-14-2014 Hi, Getting really bad performance in both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess has serious lag in outdoors, 9-17 fps. Wind Waker has laggy sound. Followed instructions for games on the wiki. Wondering if my computer should be able to handle these games. Are there any other methods to speed these games up? Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Processor/CPU: IntelCorei7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2301 Mh Video Card/GPU: AMD Radeon 7970M Memory/RAM: 8GB Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 4.0-4107 Thanks RE: Bad performance in Zelda games - Shonumi - 11-14-2014 I'll direct you to the this laptop performance guide. Try that first and see if it helps -> https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-laptop-performance-guide Your CPU might be staying at 2.3GHz, which is kinda low for playing most games in Dolphin. Make sure you are using the dedicated AMD GPU as well, since the HD3000 is actually fairly weak for Dolphin (even at 1x IR for some games). RE: Bad performance in Zelda games - hamid1455 - 11-17-2014 From what I've read on the forums, twilight princess is pretty heavy load to emulate, but wind waker should run well. RE: Bad performance in Zelda games - DJBarry004 - 11-18-2014 You can enable ZTP patch to speed up gameplay (mainly on Hyrule Field). |
