I've had this happen to me once on F-Zero GX as well. I don't know when it started, unfortunately.

Yeah, I'd imagine it'd be pretty difficult to accurately bicect this issue. Seeing as it's not guaranteed to happen in each instance.

It has happend on more than one occasion, though.

I haven't seen it myself. Because I use D3D mostly.

That's a possibility, but now we need a way to reproduce it.
