Keyboard help - theswaggypoatao - 11-11-2014

So I have a .gcm file for super mario sunshine, but whenever I open it and get to the "Press Start" section to begin the game, I try to press enter, but it won't recognize me pressing the key. I went into configuration, and it worked fine, so pls help! Oh and also it won't show up when I open dolphin, so I have to double click it to get it going, in case that matters.

Which build you used for that? Post screenshots of GCPad settings.

Please don't use "c25be031fc1031d795157d8344b87b7841145197" its a pain in the butt. (which means 4.0)

Get the latest dev build. It's faster and more stable: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

So the issue is still there?

Have you tried mapping the start button to another key?

Yes it is, and like I said, it doesn't show up when dolphin opens, and when I try to browse for it, it doesn't recognize the file, as it is 'greyed out'. What am I doing wrong? I've been trying forever to make metroid prime and super mario sunshine work on dolphin, and I'm close to just giving up and buying the games.

Wait, what exactly doesn't show up and is greyed out? (I was talking about the button issue)

Have you tried enabling background input?

Buy them? You don´t have them physically so you can dump them?

No, I have a wii from when I was a kid, so I can play the games on that, but I'd rather get them for free...

The .gcm files only open when I double-click them, not when I go into dolphin and browse manually
