Two questions! - TAV - 08-24-2009
Hello guys, i want to ask 2 things:
FIRST: my rig is good enough to play (fullspeed) almost all games in dolphin?
C2Q Q9550 2.83 GHz
MSI GeForce 9800 GTX+ OC
Asus P5Q-E
4GB RAM DDR2 800 MHz
SECOND: in some revs like 3789 and 3914 i got 60fps, but in the lastest revs i got only 30 fps (like a fps cap, but the framelimiter is off). U guys know why?

1. It's good enough to run games that should go at full speed, but some games don't run at full speed even super powerful PCs. Also take care that Dolphin uses only 2 cores, just for you to note
2. Try changing watchdog setting.

from the games i got (16) you could play with that rig :
- 8 without major slowdowns
- 5 with huge slowdowns but playable in most parts of the game
- 3 unplayable
just to give you an overview in how likely it is to play something.
thats for gc games, wii games usually need more power.

but what is ur rig Iulius
and nosound said that i ve a good processor to play games that reach full speed, but i ask: RE0 and RE Remake reach full speed (60 fps), no? Because on the 3972 i got only 30 fps! Or these RE only reach 30 fps and this is the max fps for them? I ve only the RE for GC, then i tested these games.

my cpu is about the same speed as yours(3ghz c2d), thats why i could compare them.
other stuff(including more then 2 cores) is pretty much a "dont care" when it comes to dolphin.
for example i didn't feel any difference when chaning my old x1900xt to a 4870.
what i wanted to say is : there are games you can play, but dont even exspect "almost all games" to run fullspeed, especially wii games dont run very well.( at least the ones i got run very slow)
