PS3 controllers as Emulated Wiimotes - david1337 - 10-24-2014 Hi guys First of all, sorry if I ask about something that has already been answered. But I've searched around the forum, and haven't found a solution yet. When configuring my PS3 controllers in Dolphin, the GCPads work like a charm. Nothing complicated in that! (PS3 controllers set up with Motionjoy) But the Emulated Wiimotes are a bit more tricky. I want the left analog to work as IR movement. This way I would be able to play games like Wii PLay and Wii Party etc. The problem is that the Wii cursor/hand keeps going back to the center of the screen after moving it, which makes it unplayable. I want it to work more like a mouse cursor, if possible? I have tried with different PS3 controller *.ini files found in this forum, and loaded them in Dolphin from the Config/Profiles/Wiimote folder, but they didn't work as intended. This is how simple my own config is at the moment: http://screencast.com/t/2i3QSQbJeL9 Thanks in advance!
RE: PS3 controllers as Emulated Wiimotes - KHg8m3r - 10-24-2014 That's how dolphin and a joystick bound to the IR pointer work. Because after you move the stick to the position you want, when it returns to the center it reverses what you did. So you're saying that there is no way to configure this the way I want? RE: PS3 controllers as Emulated Wiimotes - JMC47 - 10-24-2014 There has to be a way around it, but I'm not sure what it is. It sounds like something we need to program in that we move the cursor around without absolute positioning. RE: PS3 controllers as Emulated Wiimotes - Bighead - 10-24-2014 This is probably far from ideal, but there probably isn't an alternative workaround at the moment. Moving the mouse cursor with an analog stick can be done with something like Xpadder, which can in turn be used for the emulated cursor. It does cost 10 bucks to download, and I never did find a way to get the emulated cursor to match the position of my mouse cursor which means not being able to reach the edges of the screen. Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
RE: PS3 controllers as Emulated Wiimotes - MayImilae - 10-25-2014 david1337: First of all, don't use motion in joy. Seriously, it's awful. Use the SCP drivers instead -> http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller As for what you want, it's not really possible with Dolphin directly. You can do that with a mouse, but your joystick is pulling back to zero, which everything is behaving as it should. Hey mate Yeah this works if you are only 1 player playing. Problem is that you can't have 2 different mouse inputs like you can with a gamepad
