Weird computer and quadcore compatibility, - AvirPeri - 08-23-2009

I am going to assemble a new computer, and got plans for its components.
So I just wanna check the compatibility as it is one weird build with new systems incl DDR3

Here goes some:

PROC
Intel Original LGA1366 Core i&-17920 (2.66\4.8GT\sec\8Mb) (SLBCH) OEM

VIDEO
Palit PCI-E NV GTX260 Sonic 896Mb 448bit 216sp DDR3 DUAL-DVI+PAL RTL

RAM (3 exemplars up to 3 gig)
DIMM DDR3 (1066) 1024Mb Hynix Original

QUESTIONS:

(1)===Are these things even compatible?

(2)===Wil this quadcore CPU EVEN WORK?

(3)===What framerate am I to expect?
*Note - going to play Resident Evil Remake\Zero and UmbrellaChronicles in good case.

Sorry you were bothered, and thanks in advance!)

Moboooo....Mobooo what mobo are you getting. Get 3x 2 GB(+ 64 bit OS), and Hd4890 if you are going to play pc games besides dolphin, its faster and rather cheap. And a decent cooler to OC your i7.

you problably need to overclock by much if you dont want any slowdowns.

(1)=== Yes.

(2)=== Yes, but it wont use 2 of the cores so it would be equivalent to a dual core when using dolphin.

(3)===I get 40-60 on Brawl and 60 on melee and super monkey ball

you're missing components, but otherwise you're good to go. They are compatible, but define what you mean by "Wil this quadcore CPU EVEN WORK?"

Well some of your questions are stated poorly so I can't really understand them. By look at the title, "quadcore compatibility", sounds like you are asking about Dolphin using 4 cores. If so, Dolphin will only support 2 cores, no more is needed.

You can have an octorock cock cpu over 9000 cores and it will work just fine, it doesn' matter.
