How to best configure xbox 360 gamepad for rumble operation? - themanuel - 09-29-2014

Hello.

I'm playing games on dolphin using an xbox 360 gamepad and would like to know what is the recommended setup to emulate GC gamepad and Wiimote rumble. There are options to use left and/or right motors of the gamepad but I don't know what the differences are among those options.

Thanks!

The GameCube controller uses a constant rumble, so using "Constant" would be the most authentic. The GameCube also uses one rumble motor, unlike the XBOX360 and PS2/PS3 which use two. This means you should use both the Left and Right motors. You can set that up in Dolphin by right clicking on the Rumble button and entering this into the box:

Code:
Motor L | Motor R

Any type of rumble should work, but "Constant" Left and Right is recommended.

The Wiimote uses a small constant rumble motor. Use Constant Left and Right for it too.

Thank you, Skid.

I should know with all the GCN and Wii games I played although I always used the Wavebird for the former so I had no rumble.
