open the exe with winrar? that wont work im afraid XD

You're right.

If after running the exe a window opened and closed but you don't see the folder in the current directory, even if running as an Administrator, you might be getting the "Can not open the file as archive" error, you can try a few things.

Move the archive to a root location, i.e C:\ and run it.
or
Rename it to D and run it from there.

I do not know if getting a copy of 7z would help though, i was unable to open the SFX with WinRAR.

If anything else, you can always request a re upload from someone from here who has the rev you downloaded.

Edit: On second thought get 7z and post the output from the command "C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" x Dolphin_3972.exe (x86 in case it doesnt support native 64b)

Obviously very hard. Big Grin

Got it working peeps, so have no fear!

Gotta bench it now, too.

wait, so in vista ( i guess? ) it wont extract when on desktop or any user folder?
kinda fail if thats the case... (on the other hand, in vista a admin permission command prompt doesn't have admin permissions at all. fucked up vista & permissions)

@zurginator : what did you do?
