Connecting to netplay hangs and does nothing - PikaChalupa - 09-06-2014
So I've been trying to connect on netplay but for some reason whenever I hit connect, it will just hang for 5-10 seconds and then do nothing.
The strange part is that regardless of whether I have proper values for the Address/Port or if I just shove in dfhb2u3 and 28fe for them, it will still just hang and then do nothing.
I've tried disabling my firewall, restarting, messing with network settings, messing with dolphin settings, all to no avail.
Wat do. D:

We don't support the DC-netplay branch here.
Anyway, it's likely your router eating any attempts to connect; there's nothing that can be done if you can't configure it.

I'm using 4.0.2.
And I can configure my router but I'm not exactly sure what I should be looking for.

err, if you're using 4.0.2, then you need to port forward on the hosts side. My apologies, so used to the DC-netplay users.

I managed to fix it by reinstalling. Strange.
