Connect your wiimote to android dolphin emulator? - jnmiah - 08-24-2014

Is there any way you could connect your wiimote to the android dolphin emulator right now? Or is it not possible yet?

It's actually not possible, period. Google patched the Bluetooth libraries preventing a Wii remote from syncing to an android device. Unless they found a new exploit I doubt that has changed.

I run a custom ROM on my device, CyanogenMod. A little while back I noticed in the changelog something about allowing Wiimotes to connect. When I saw that, I updated and tried it out. Unfortunately, the bluetooth stack crashed about a second after the Wii remote's player one light turned on. I forgot about it until seeing this thread, but I just tried, and it seems instead of fixing the implementation, they simply removed it. AFAIK, there is still no working way to get a Wiimote to connect to anything running Android 4.2+. It's a shame; if your device supports Wiimote connectivity, it's too old to support OpenGL ES 3.
