How do I maximize fps? - epham16 - 08-20-2014 I get crazy fps drops when i play online. I tried playing Melee with a friend who live 20 min from me today and it was unplayable. How do I fix this? My set up is as follows Windows 8.1 Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40 GHz Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M 8 GB RAM I'm using dolphin-x64 4.0 RE: How do I maximize fps? - Kurausukun - 08-20-2014 Are you using the netplay build? RE: How do I maximize fps? - Kurausukun - 08-20-2014 In the master Dolphin branch, Dual Core mode is disabled during netplay because it frequently causes desyncs. This, of course, means you are now using only one core, which significantly reduces your processing power. The dc-netplay branch is a somewhat experimental branch of Dolphin that, while lacking some features of the latest master branch builds, enables Dual Core mode during netplay, increasing performance. You and you friend will both want to download 4.0-652 from this link: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/dc-netplay/1/ If this doesn't work, then I'm honestly not sure what to tell you besides looking for on-site performance and settings guides (there are a few). RE: How do I maximize fps? - epham16 - 08-21-2014 Does anyone know the ideal settings to increase netplay fps? RE: How do I maximize fps? - yl-smash - 08-21-2014 Disable your dedicated card in Dolphin and use your integrated graphics under graphics settings->display adapter. Your laptop is likely overheating and throttling. |
