new cpu - teun2408 - 08-11-2014

hi

I am using dolphin for a while and the most games runs perfect on my i5 4430@3.0 GHZ and gtx 760.
but a few days ago I did want to play super mario galaxy but it got a lag.
i don´t think my gpu is the problem so the cpu is it. but I can´t overclock at my mobo.
so I want to buy a new cpu. I am watching and found the i7 4790K@4.0 GHZ.
will i be able to run with this cpu all the dolphin games?
thanks

I saw that thread but he has a different motherboard. so i can´t buy the same cpu as him.
I just asked if I can run all the games on dolphin at full speed with a i7 4790k.

98% games will run full speed on an i7 4790k since it has turbo boost of 4.4GHz
and btw , your i5 4430 should be more than enough for SMG unless you're using LLE audio or sth

I will try out if it works without LLE audio.
and if it don´t work I buy the i7. Big Grin

If you're using a Z87 without Haswell refresh bios update , that new i7 won't work on it

Use the latest dev builds, as they're pretty fast
