How well does the Iris Pro 5200 handle dolphin? - Steve12412 - 08-04-2014 A few years ago I tried playing zelda on a i5-750 cpu and a radeon 5750 graphics card and 6G of ram. I found it quite laggy. I believe the radeon 5750 is 25% faster than the Iris Pro 5200 according to benchmarks. If I get a laptop with a i7-4750HQ (includes Iris Pro 5200) and 8G of ram, will I have any issues with games such as zelda twilight/ocarina/etc (if i remember correctly fields lagged very hard), paper mario and mario party? RE: How well does the Iris Pro 5200 handle dolphin? - yl-smash - 08-04-2014 It's the cpu that made it laggy. Those graphics should be enough for 2x IR. RE: How well does the Iris Pro 5200 handle dolphin? - admin89 - 08-04-2014 Nah , Intel HD 4600 is good enough for 2->2.5xIR Intel HD 5200 is twice as fast as HD 4600 .It's on par with Nvidia GT 650M (mobile GPU) or Nvidia GT 640 / AMD HD 6670 GDDR5 (desktop GPU) The i7 is much faster than that i5 . Haswell is 30% faster than Sandy Bridge and that i5 is Nehalem which is slower than Sandy Bridge Expect 35->40% improvement in speed |
