Almost any modern smartphone has an accelerometer. So my idea is, why not turn it into a wiimote? There are few challenges that would need to be considered though:

- Make special android/iphone app with wiimote button layout which would transmit both button presses and accelerometer data over wifi to computer.
- Have Dolphin get those data and act upon it.

Of course it may not be easy but it is certainly possible - apps that turn your smartphone into a webcam work in similar manner.

Similarly Wii U pad could be simulated with specialized apps for tablets which consist of image transmitted from Dolphin and wirtual buttons in Wii U pad's layout when Wii U emulation becomes a thing.
