Why Qualcomm sucks - Nintonito - 07-28-2014 One of their moderators confirmed the Adreno 3xx is not getting ES 3.1 because "it was not designed with it in mind". So I gotta buy a new phone for those features, when the existing hardware could support it. Just another reason I LOVE Qualcomm. Fragmating devices one generation at a time. RE: Why Qualcomm sucks - Sonicadvance1 - 07-28-2014 Their a3xx hardware can't physically support OpenGL ES 3.1 which is pretty funny. I think mainly it is due to the extended blend modes which can't be supported in hardware. Why wouldn't they think ahead? Oh wait it's QYALCOMM. Guess I'm just gonna buy a K1 device and move on. RE: Why Qualcomm sucks - EverythingPortable - 08-11-2014 Anyone tested the latest Adreno drivers from Aug 7 to play Dolphin? I sold my Snapdragon 800 device and im waiting for the shield tablet, so i cant test the drivers. Anyone want to test? https://developer.qualcomm.com/mobile-development/maximize-hardware/mobile-gaming-graphics-adreno/tools-and-resources RE: Why Qualcomm sucks - Nintonito - 08-12-2014 (08-11-2014, 05:45 PM)EverythingPortable Wrote: Anyone tested the latest Adreno drivers from Aug 7 to play Dolphin? Most of the changes relate to the adreno profiler tool, which is used to try and optimize/understand how adreno handles an app. Dolphin doesn't use that at all so the updated drivers are still broken as all hell. I've tried experimenting on the settings but to no avail. It keeps freezing, dropping fps, and showing a distorted Luigi. According to my antutu benchmark I am Opengl3 capable. What does those drivers do exactly? Do I have to extract it on my pc to update my phone? I have no problem running other emulators such as PPSSPP and Epsxe coz it runs buttery smooth. Pls help. RE: Why Qualcomm sucks - kronox - 09-01-2014 I tested august 7th drivers on my galaxy s5. Moved around two directories to match my system folders Sadly i don't see any difference in comparison with stock v66 drivers Sonicadvance1 said in his twitter that this update fixed atribuless rendering. I assume that would make shaders work properly. Can anyone give me an example of what game was behaving strange due this. So i can compare? RE: Why Qualcomm sucks - Sonicadvance1 - 09-01-2014 Wario Ware Mega Party Games. Basically any game that is using an EFB copy is fixed due to it. RE: Why Qualcomm sucks - Q8-V08 - 09-04-2014 Can't really tell if efb is working or not Super Mario Sunshine is missing the title screen and pause menu. The C-Stick also seems to have messed up it's not registering left or down touches now. None of the shaders are working for me either. |
