Dolphin freezing my whole computer - moonshadow86 - 07-26-2014
Ok, so when I play Skyward Sword, I am able to play the game but after loading it maybe 3-4 times, it will freeze at start up and if I hit Esc to get out, then it really freezes to where I cannot move my mouse. This is usually in Fullscreen mode but last night it happened to me on Windowed mode. This is on Dolphin 3.5 stable release and the reason I use that version because it is faster for me compared to Dolphin 4.0 or higher. Sometimes I can play it in Fullscreen but it crashed later one sometimes while I was in Skyview Temple. When this happens, only thing I can do is turn off my computer using the power button and turn it back on.

8.00 GB RAM
AMD Phenom X4 965 Processor 3.40 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Dolphin settings:
Speed up Disc Transfer rate checked
Custom project hack checkd with both zNear and zFar checked
Direct 11
Scaled EFB copy
Forced texture filtering
4x Native
Ignore format changes
Texture EFB to fast
Disabled EFB checked
Disabled pixel depth checked
Disabled fog checked
Widescreen Hack checked
resolution 1920x1080

That isn't related to Dolphin.
Check if your hardware is overheating (hwmonitor).
