Enabling Cheats prevents the game from booting - Haeralis - 07-22-2014
Hello there, this is my first post here at Dolphin Forums. I've always admired this emulator, but being able to use it well has always been out of my grasp. With my recent acquisition of a retina MacBook Pro however, I can finally use it.
I installed Windows 7 64 bit on this laptop, and that is how I'm loading Dolphin. Melee works very well, even when you double the resolution. Knowing this, I figured I could definitely get netplay up and going. However, I've ran into a bit of a hiccup. When I go to Config and Enable Cheats (to get the netplay cheat for Melee to work), the game doesn't even boot. What is causing this?

What revision of Melee do you have? What cheats are you using?

I'm using version 1.02, NTSC. As for the cheats, that's the weird thing. It doesn't seem to matter. I believe I could have none of them selected, but as long as "Enable Cheats" is checked, it wont work. I'll double check it for you.

I am having the same problem, If I uncheck all the cheats, the game does launch, but the one I want specifically, the netplay one, causes dolphin to crash.
Is there a way I can verify the AR codes are correct?

I just tried Melee with cheats and had no problems. I can't help without more information.
