doesn't recognize .7z files? - dashlaru - 07-18-2014 I have a ROM that ends in .7z which doesn't seem to be recognized by Dolphin. This is a common ROM suffix, so I'm wondering if it just has to be changed and that will solve the problem. When you rip your own game discs, they end up in a .iso format, which is the main type of game image that dolphin reads. Also: ciso, cso, wbfs, and then whatever Dolphin's compressor makes (I think cso) A .7z means it's a zipped archive, usually associated with downloading a game, which is piracy, which we don't allow, at all. A rom also usually means piracy, as an ISO is what you get when you rip a disc yourself properly. But you're probably just used to other emulator terminology usage of roms, and all you need to do is just unzip the .7z archive.
