Dolphin save transfer - lute - 07-18-2014
Hi, I was wondering. Is it possible to export a save from Dolphin, put it on an SD card, and copy it to the Wii U to continue playing through Wii mode? I'm thinking of bringing my Wii U along on a trip and was curious if this would work. Has anyone tried it, is there any conflict moving a file back and forth, etc?

I don't know about a Wii U, but simply copying your .bin save file of whatever game should work, right click a game on the main window and select 'open save folder' (or something like that).

The above post will only work if you are transferring to another copy of dolphin.
if you want to put in on a wii(U) right click the game and choose export wii save
assuming that the game does not use copy protection on its saves you will be able to copy this to an sd card and import it on the wii(u)
note that the path is important on the sdcard dolphin creates the appropriate path copy the private directory to the root of the sd card
also note that in order to copy a save to a wii(u) you must have played that game at least once on that wii(u)
