Steel Series 3GC wont work on Dolphin - mikendo - 07-14-2014

Okay so I'm trying to play super smash melee using a Steel Series 3GC on a mac 10.8.5. Steel series doesn't offer a driver for mac even though they advertised the controller as being mac compatible. However, i have noticed that the controller works absolutely fine on sixtyforce (n64 emulator). But when i try it with dolphin i cant seem to get it working.

In GCPad config under devices the controller is recognized fine as "Input/0/Generic USB Joystick" and it allows you to set up all the buttons perfectly as well. I have port 1 under gamecube config set as standard controller.

So everything seems like its working until i start up the game and none of the buttons work...

The controller also has an option of a red and green mode and i have tried re setting everything up on both. I also tried setting it up as a wii remote, and still nothing.

Please help and give me your thoughts.

Im currently on Dolphin 4.0 and have tried it on 3.5.

Also, is there a controller someone can speak from experience with that has successful worked on dolphin on a mac running mountain lion.... anything is much appreciated. Thanks!

After starting the game does your controller still respond in the GCPad configuration window?
no? Try hitting the "Refresh" button in the GCPad window after starting the game.
Try enabling "Background Input".
