Question About Unlimited JIT Cache - Runo - 08-14-2009

Im playng since yesterday Zelda Twilight Princess GC on my PC, and after messing around with the configs all for myself like a good non noob guy Big Grin I turned "Unlimited JIT Cache" On so the game doesnt crash, but I noticed that it shows a warning like: "starting Game With Unlimited JIT Cache". Why? Can I have any problem with this setting on?
I mean, I know that it might consume more RAM, but since I got 2GB,
and with "Game Booster" On my Windows uses only 300mb to work, so can I leave Unlimited JIT Cache on for all games?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for the pottentially noob question Big Grin lol!

It is just warning you that you have it enabled (in case you forgot you had enabled it). I have played through 3 temples in ZTP without the unlimited hack and worked fine for me, I only got one crash at hyrule, but it was rare (I blame the frame skipper Tongue). Only use the hack when you really need it.

you could leave it on, but it could have some kind of negative impact on some games we havent found yet, best to just manualy turn it on for brawl by right clicking it and hitting settings or something (i forget Tongue)

Well will leave it on for TP then, cause for me it crashes within 2 minutes of gameplay I dunno why, whats your specs? the point is that I normally figure out how to solve that kind of problem with configuration, but nothing worked, so I had to turn on the Unlimited JIT Cache...
P.S. I didnt find where to configure the frameskipper, only the framelimiter and the watchdog (Im using Orleans build)...
P.S.S. Thank you two for the awnsers!

framelimiter is in main window -> emulation, not in the config windows

i play tp without unlimited cache.

it crashed randomly with and without unlimited cache, so it doesn't really matter.

I think ZTP is less stable in Orlan's build that has the watchdog and extra stuff added in, because on normal latest Dolphin SVN x64 build, the game runs fine without unlimited enabled. Perhaps try to my build (check the link in my signature)
