Maybe that's the issue. Also, the menus in Mario Kart are limited for a different reason; not a good benchmark result. Only the Haswell's can handle them because of how they play videos or something in the background it's silly. Okay Ill go ahead and give that a try. Anything that can help I will do! RE: Getting fps drops in most games - JMC47 - 06-06-2014 4X IR is no problem for a GTX 780, sure, but it also affects the processor in certain games. RE: Getting fps drops in most games - Saint Chewy - 06-06-2014 I just tried DDU and reinstalled my drivers - no change what so ever. Is there something else I am missing? Also @JMC47 I did lower the IR to 2x and I am still getting those drops. RE: Getting fps drops in most games - xystus - 06-06-2014 Did you try stressing your GPU a little further by enabling MSAA? See what that does ingame? RE: Getting fps drops in most games - Shonumi - 06-06-2014 Again, did you try setting the GPU for Maximum Performance in Nvidia's drivers? Does the speed improve when lowering the IR @JMC47 - Even if the increased IR adds noticeable stress to a CPU, Wind Waker should not be dropping FPS like that with an i5-2500K OC'ed at his level. I had no trouble doing it myself with inferior hardware. Other games maybe, but WW is super-light. It looks like an under-utilized GPU from what GPU-Z says. RE: Getting fps drops in most games - Saint Chewy - 06-06-2014 Yep.... If anyone wants to try and help me, I am running my benchmark by going from Dragon's Roost to Forest Haven ![]() (06-06-2014, 04:45 AM)xystus Wrote: Did you try stressing your GPU a little further by enabling MSAA? So does this point to my CPU?
RE: Getting fps drops in most games - JMC47 - 06-06-2014 32bit Dolphin is a lot slower. But, your previous tests were on 64bit. Something is obviously wrong. Your computer should be able to handle it RE: Getting fps drops in most games - Saint Chewy - 06-06-2014 Here is a Mario Kart screenshots that isnt in the menu. Now Mario Kart is crashing dolphin so I cant get any more... What is going on? ![]() (06-06-2014, 05:24 AM)JMC47 Wrote: 32bit Dolphin is a lot slower. But, your previous tests were on 64bit. RE: Getting fps drops in most games - JMC47 - 06-06-2014 Can you try changing EFB2Ram to EFB2Texture? Sorry for the late reply, but I did change it like you said and there is no difference at all. |
