Problem! - CodenameD - 08-14-2009

Hi! I was trying to run The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (NTSC/USA) on Dolphin ver3661 when I get the error:
"Can't open opengl renderer. You must be missing some required opengl extensions, check the logs for more info."

The logs say~

[color=#A9A9A9]34:30:562 N[BOOT]: Booting E:/MyData/TheKingdom/Manga-Anime Zone/Anime Games/Nintendo Gamecube/s3-zeltw.gcm
34:30:812 N[OSREPORT]: (PC=81200508) OSReport:

Now my specs~
Mainboard: G31D-M7 Biostar
CPU: E5200 @ 2.5 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core (Wolfdale)
No of cores: 2 (Duh!)
Memory: 1024 MB
Video: Integrated Intel GMA 3100 (256 MB VRAM, PS2.0)
Audio: Realtek HD Audio

I believe that Dolphin doesn't like my video adapter since the problem is related to OpenGL. But is there a way I can use Direct 3D? I don't get the option of choosing between them. Sad

Also when I ran the game using Dolphin 1.03 beta and the game ran with no sounds but with a horrible frame rate of 5 fps!!!

How do I run the game anyhow using D3D if OpenGL is not possible?

RE: Problem! - krypking - 08-14-2009

your card doesnt support opengl

directx is not worth it, but if u must try u can search for the old dx9 plugin and run an older version of dolphin, i forget which version works with it. u can find out all that info by using the search.

dont even bother, it will be unplayable on such a lowly card anyway its just a waste of time

And please search the forums next time you have a problem before making a new thread.

Seriously, the same questions are being asked over and OVER and OVER.
What more could we possibly do to "stick-et" to these noobs!?!
It's been going on ever since i could remember on these Forums, is there anything else that we haven't done already to bypass this traditional annoyance of lazy noobs?
*IDEA*
Or is it inevitable? Sad

LOL, without a warning!

A lack of a high enough GPU or CPU is probably the most recurring problem noobs have.
Every 20 threads, you should find AT LEAST 1 noob crying about what OpenGL is.

OpenGL doesn't have to be the problem. I remember back before the SVN builds (v1.03 Beta 2, I believe), I was able to emulate SSBM on my crappy single core pentium 4 at over 60fps with only 128mb of RAM, though the picture lacked color, and the game would freeze after a single match.
