Yesterday I saw this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BieXOZebpfQ Works it with real GBAs too? RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - Player X - 03-14-2015 Ok, thank you! I knew it. The difference between this adapter and real ports for GC-Controllers is just like the difference between the Mayflash adapter and the Adaptoid. Only the Adaptoid supports real N64 controller packs. RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - JMC47 - 03-14-2015 I was way too hard on VBA. It's a solid emulator, the code just isn't that clean. It's hard to work with and add new features. I'm not a coder, so I really shouldn't have been judging it at all. RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - Soupa Face - 03-14-2015 (02-15-2015, 03:45 AM)Player X Wrote: [...] Wait... are you implying that the official Wii U Game cube controller adapter does "work" with real GBA's through Dolphin?? I mean I knew the official adapter gave Dolphin native GameCube controller support with the perfect calibration that native controller support provides, but I don't remember seeing anything in this thread that implied that Dolphin can communicate with an actual / tangible GameBoy Advance system through an actual / tangible GBA link cable through the official Wii U GameCube controller adapter (which is just as actual and tangible as the other things)..?! RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - The_Master_E - 03-14-2015 Well, Dolphin DOES strive for accurate emulation. And as long as the adapter is as accurate as can be (which shouldn't be too far fetched), it should send the code as if it were coming out of a system itself. RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - tueidj - 03-14-2015 The WiiU gamecube adapter is NOT compatible with GBAs and there is no possibility to make it work. RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - The_Master_E - 03-15-2015 Hmm? Care to give a reason why? And what would it take to make one that would be compatible? RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - tueidj - 03-15-2015 It's not a generic port converter. The only information it passes to the USB/PC side is if any controllers are connected, and the stick/button values for them. RE: New Prototype GCN GBA Link Cable Emulation Demo - Player X - 03-15-2015 I knew it. The Wii U CameCube Controller Adapter is as well as the Mayflash Adapter only a controller device and no direct port device for the PC. ![]() (03-14-2015, 10:47 AM)Soupa Face Wrote:(02-15-2015, 03:45 AM)Player X Wrote: [...] Yes, I meant it but already before this I knew that it isn't like I thought so. If you want to use a controller you must choose "Standard Controller" and if you want to use an GBA you must choose "GBA" and "GBA" opens another port than "Standard Controller" and the other ports are for GBA-emus and not for controller devices. Hm... Is it able to modifying Dolphin that it can use the Wii U Controller Adapter direct and not as controller device (for GC-Controllers AND for real GBAs (if required, even with a new driver))? ![]() Btw, I think that it's better if you can choose the Wii U Controller Adapter for each emulated port separate and not for all emulated ports at once.
