It's a Qualcomm issue.
The game black screens for me on my Nexus 5 but works fine on my K1.

Huh oddly enough on my N5 with v53 I can run super Mario sunshine perfectly on build 1535. Did they introduce more bugs or something?

Your definition of "perfectly" isn't quite right.
There are bugs all over the place on Qualcomm's drivers.

I tried Super Mario Sunshine too, it ran great with opengl. It must be bugs in certain games
