RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - Ò‰Ò‰Ò‰ - 08-17-2009 ![]() summing up how it works in a picture. do the modifications yourself. RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - death-droid - 08-17-2009 SO just projection 0 and just timesed by 0.75. As that gives me so stuffed up results. RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - moreno - 08-22-2009 where/how do i do those modifications? Code: g_fProjectionMatrix[0] = xfregs.rawProjection[0] * 0.75f;why go widescreen when you could go anamorphic cinema style?
RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - fagoatse - 08-28-2009 Hm HUD is messed up, doesnt it look a bit stretched? RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - bug - 08-30-2009 ya know, for metroid prime 1 & 2, the versions in Metroid Prime Trilogy have widescreen... RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - PodX140 - 08-30-2009 but cinema style aspect ratio is just that, an aspect ratio. it means that if you have a massive monitor or whatnot, you can adjust it for that specific monitor. it does not affect anything else other than the ratio of pixels being used on your screen. I have a 16:9 monitor. that means that for every 16 pixels used horizontally, 9 are used vertically. that means that when i choose something like 4:3, I will be missing vertical pixels and the picture will appear vertically compressed. likewise if i choose something like 4:2 (making it up), it will appear vertically stretched. I can also stretch and compress horizontally. EDIT: This type of hack would be especially useful for those with multiple monitor setups, as their aspect ratios are FUBAR
RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - THELUKESTIR - 08-30-2009 look at the pic on the first screen of metroid prime. the fov is being increased and you can see it because the screen goes outside the box RE: forcing widescreen on gamecube (a demonstration) - PodX140 - 08-30-2009 why mess with fov? you are only ruining the game... and the hud settings... and of course, worst of all, you are making it look worse. :/ |
