RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - JMC47 - 05-07-2014 It also affects the CPU to increase IR, believe it or not. RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - Oemenia - 05-07-2014 How demanding is AA, does that put strain on the GPU or CPU? RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - kinkinkijkin - 05-07-2014 AA only puts strain on the GPU. RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - DJBarry004 - 05-07-2014 Both, and is the second most demanding thing on Dolphin (being the first LLE and the third IR, IMO). RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - Oemenia - 05-07-2014 Oh okay, I was thinking maybe putting IR down and having AA at 2x for the most demanding games. My system barely cut it for the game and Im already out of using newer builds, hopefully 1.5x isn't too bad. Oh dear god no. AA's hit scales with IR, and doesn't hit if you have a good GPU. It only affects the GPU. Also, interpreter is the biggest performance hit. RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - Oemenia - 05-07-2014 Interesting, is my GPU good enough to handle at least 2x without a hit? RE: How safe are these options for Metroid Prime GC? - kinkinkijkin - 05-07-2014 Yes. No AA, 2XIR |
