Whether it's an issue with my mobo or a combination of c states with other settings, I have no idea. All I know for certain is that they were causing problems for me, so maybe it does for others too. My issue was with power saving c states, what does that have to do with locking threads? Anyways like I said before, if I turn of c3 and c6 I can leave hyperthreading on with no issues. Because of the suggestions of others I decided to do some more testing and found that it still isn't smooth with no overclocking and speedstep disabled. With c states on the fps drops even though it shows 60 vps and 100 percent speed. Can anyone else with a similar cpu (i7 2600k) test this out? |
