We're still focused on your question, it's just that every now and then someone hijacks a thread.
It sounds like a driver or OS issue at this point. If you're using the Intel HD graphics, you're most likely using Mesa as your OGL implementation. See if you have the latest package of that available. Additionally, have you tried the very latest revisions on Ubuntu (provided by dolphin-emu.org)?
