RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - TheMLGProGamer123 - 04-15-2014 Well, would Fry's work? RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - KHg8m3r - 04-15-2014 Yeah, just make sure the processor is i7-4700MQ, i7-4702HQ, or higher Look for gaming brands, like MSI, Sager/Clevo, ASUS Or build your own desktop for much cheaper. RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - kinkinkijkin - 04-15-2014 Asus isn't purely gaming, though. In fact, my brother has an Asus laptop that suddenly stopped accepting operating systems, no matter what HDD is inside of it. Rather recent one, too. I'd recommend MSI, or to try to get a custom laptop, though I know that custom laptops can be very expensive, depending on the company. RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - TheMLGProGamer123 - 04-15-2014 Oh. Well thanks guys. I guess my trusty little XP won't cut it. Thanks for all your help! EDIT: WOW! I just looked on Amazon and found an NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Card clocked at 520MHz 1024MB 64-bit DDR3 Memory with 8 CUDA cores for just 31 dollars! Now I'm really thinking of building my own PC! I'll keep you guys updated on what I find of components for my custom PC! Don't be a cheap little shit when it comes to building a pc, you won't get far with such little money. RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - kinkinkijkin - 04-15-2014 Fun fact: No. That card is crap, trust me. 8. My slightly old card which I need to replace has 128. And a 128-bit bus. And GDDR5. And only would cost one ~$70 now. RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - TheMLGProGamer123 - 04-15-2014 Well, I could just always buy one at the store. But keep in mind, If I do try to build a PC, this is my first time. I see Anti-Ultimate's point. At least a fair amount of money would have to be spent to get a decent gaming PC. But I'm also trying to save the most money possible. Thanks for the Reddit form. That seems very helpful. The most I could do to make my XP look like the new Windows OS is go searching for a theme that makes it look Aero Glass. xD. Well thanks, for you help guys. I think I have settled that this little computer will no longer be of use for gaming. Oh well. I have used this for about 7 years now too. This was like in 2005. Thank you very much! It has far more contributors, and I thought the only issue was that it's a massive AMD clusterfuck and no-one believes that not every application will run on 8 threads on a really slow CPU at its intended speed. RE: Strange Performance and Possibly Modded Drivers? - TheMLGProGamer123 - 04-15-2014 I could also just buy a Wii U and get NSMBu and NSMBwii on it, but I'd somehow feel like I'm betraying Dolphin...
