The forum is no place for news. Dolphin's past experience with this is proof. The ultimate example is delroth's original new-ax-hle article - it was originally on the forum, but it was quickly forgotten, and was completely of zero help once the whiners came. I have no problem posting a thread on the forum for discussion or to direct forum goers to a bit of news, but the news SHOULD NOT originate in a forum post. News should be on the main site, where people can find it.

As for the facebook problem, we do have a sidebar on the main site.... It might be possible to have some sort of facebook updates thing on the side? Or possibly even in line. I'd need to look up some zinnia mods, there might already be something out there.

As for the forum, whether the above thing is done or not, a forum post could be made to link to the facebook post, similar to how articles are done now.

That would be awesome but I think you're going to have trouble convincing the "powers that be" to do that.

If someone can provide me with a pull request on dolphin-emu/www that doesn't completely suck UI-wise, I would be glad to merge it. It's not a matter of convincing me (well, kinda, but nice implementation is usually enough to convince me), it's a matter of having someone doing the design and programming for it.

Also: handle graceful degradation, make sure we don't double the bandwidth required to serve the homepage by adding more javascript, make sure the design works well in the 15+ languages we support on the website (including right to left languages), make sure the design works well on all browser sizes (including mobile), etc.

So yes, if you want me to spend my time doing that even though I don't care, it'll need either a lot of money or a lot of convincing that I should care. ATM I prefer spending my Dolphin time on more useful stuff like Zelda UCode RE.
