Wiimote cursor loses synchronization; random slowdowns - Hitoshura - 01-26-2014 Hi! I'm running Dolphin 4.0.2 and when I play Skyward Sword, the Wiimote cursor sometimes doesn't seem to pick up data from the Wiimote. This is a little weird to explain, so bear with me a bit! Basically, if I move the Wiimote at a brisk pace, the cursor doesn't move as far as it should, and is incredibly irregular. Additionally, I get weird, random "skips" with the game, despite that my CPU load is around ~25-30% and my GPU load is usually around 20%. My current specs: i7 4770k @ 3.5 Ghz (SpeedBoost or whatever it is up to 3.9Ghz) 8GB RAM @ 1333 Mhz Nviida Geforce GTX 560 Windows 8.1 Professional Medialink Bluetooth Adapter Any and all help on this matter is greatly appreciated! Thank you! RE: Wiimote cursor loses synchronization; random slowdowns - pauldacheez - 01-27-2014 The Wii Remote issues may just be related to it seeing the sensor bar and realigning with it at awkward times – I'm not entirely sure, MotionPlus and IR are always extra awkward with Dolphin from what I've heard. There's a few general solutions, including disabling the speaker on the remote (Wiimote > uncheck "Enable Speaker Data") and installing Toshiba's Bluetooth stack, the latter of which seems to solve *every* damn issue and thus has an official installation guide: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/wii-remote-plus-rvl-cnt-01-tr-connection-guide/ As for the skipping, try the things I mentioned here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-super-mario-galaxy-2-fps-drop-when-lots-of-things-on-screen Note that "Vertex Streaming Hack" is an OpenGL-specific option – it makes it the fastest graphics backend, though, so no problem. I'll give it a shot -- though um, if it's not too much trouble, do you happen to have the Toshiba Stack exe? Following the link in the guide and clicking the download button brings me to an "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com" page. Thanks! I've also noticed that it seems the Wiimote doesn't quite like to move as close to my movements, either, i.e. when I'm doing a side slash it sometimes does a diagonal slash, sometimes doesn't do thrusts, etc. Hopefully the Toshiba stack will fix that! For sure RE: Wiimote cursor loses synchronization; random slowdowns - Hitoshura - 01-27-2014 (01-27-2014, 09:57 AM)LordVador Wrote:(01-27-2014, 09:40 AM)Hitoshura Wrote: Hopefully the Toshiba stack will fix that! Hmm, I'm using one though. I thought you had to use one anyway when you first start the game? But yeah, I can definitely tell, it doesn't feel anywhere near as accurate as playing on a Wii, so something definitely has to be up. |
