RE: G3220 or A86600K ..your suggestions .. - admin89 - 01-21-2014 Just 16$ and you will be able to have the similar performance as i3 4130 . So why not ? HD 5550 has 51.2 GB/s memory bandwidth and 128 bit memory bus . In theory , it should be able to handle 3x Internal Resolution (1080p+) , no AA , 16xAF RE: G3220 or A86600K ..your suggestions .. - kinkinkijkin - 01-21-2014 5550 will definitely be able to handle dolphin, without issue, especially at 720p. 720p screen set to Auto (window size) will be less taxing than 3x or 2.5x IR, and will display nicely. Not of much use here just sayin'. (I've seen no GPU worth buying to replace intel HD that costed less than $50) Well an 8570D is slower than a 6570 which can be easily purchased for $60 (within his budget). A 6450 is almost as fast and can be had for $40. Apparently he can somehow afford a 6750 which is even better. Basically the Intel system with a discrete gpu will give him a faster cpu and faster gpu for the same amount of money. So there is really no downside. While the A8 can probably get close to the performance of the Intel cpu it will consume significantly more power and generate significantly more heat just to get close. Which is not good for an HTPC build. Giuliano Wrote:I found the G3430 (Haswell 3.3GHz) for 16$ more, do you think it is worth to invest money compared to the G3220? Yes and yes. |
