D3D or OpenGL? - yl-smash - 01-19-2014 From what I know you choose which backend based on whether you have an nVidia or AMD gpu. I'm using intel integrated graphics (as shown in sig) so I'm not sure which to use. Which one should theoretically work the best based on my specs? RE: D3D or OpenGL? - DJBarry004 - 01-19-2014 Both would be good as long as you use OGL with recent dev builds. RE: D3D or OpenGL? - KHg8m3r - 01-19-2014 There's a problem with the current drivers and Intel HD 4600. If you use any AA with an IR past 2x, you will hit massive slowdowns. (I can usually run games around 2.5-3xIR with varying AF, fullspeed on my HD 4600) RE: D3D or OpenGL? - DJBarry004 - 01-19-2014 Of course, I was referring to any AMD or NVidia GPU, not Intel. RE: D3D or OpenGL? - yl-smash - 01-19-2014 I use dolphin 4.0-652, and I don't play with IR or AA. So which should I use? RE: D3D or OpenGL? - DJBarry004 - 01-19-2014 Either NVidia or AMD. RE: D3D or OpenGL? - KHg8m3r - 01-19-2014 Forgot to add: OpenGL is the fasted on Nvidia/AMD. I haven't played around much between D3D and OGL on my HD 4600, but that driver issue mentioned above is on OGL. Try both settings, and see what works for you. You can bump up your IR and AF on OGL; and your IR, AA, and AF on D3D |
