Dolphin crashes every 30 - 120 seconds - shiftryistheman - 01-13-2014 My build: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-can-i-run-gamecube-and-wii-games?pid=283262#pid283262 Every time I play ANY game, every 30 seconds or so my screen goes to black and I get this error message: Code: Display driver stopped responding and has fully recoveredThis is the error that Windows gave me. The error that Dolphin itself gave me was this: Code: Failed to create rasterizer state at Src\Render.cpp 1137I used the drivers that were on Nvidia's website a long time ago, so why is it doing this? RE: Dolphin crashes every 30 - 120 seconds - pauldacheez - 01-13-2014 >I used the drivers that were on Nvidia's website a long time ago, so why is it doing this? ...So you're fully aware you're using outdated drivers, yet you don't think to update them? v_v; Go install this shit. http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/71704 RE: Dolphin crashes every 30 - 120 seconds - shiftryistheman - 01-23-2014 Although installing the new drivers prevented the crashes for a couple days, it started crashing again multiple times over the past few days. Maybe my graphics card is overheating or something? I don't know how to check the temperature though... RE: Dolphin crashes every 30 - 120 seconds - Kodiack - 01-23-2014 HWMonitor is my personal recommendation for checking out hardware temps. Just download and extract it, then run the program. See if anything is running abnormally hot (i.e. 90C+). http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.24.zip RE: Dolphin crashes every 30 - 120 seconds - shiftryistheman - 01-23-2014 (Typing this from my 3DS, since my computer just crashed and I wanted to give it some time to cool down...) What is considered a normal temperature for my particular build? With the HWMonitor that Kodiack gave me, all of my components were running at around 40ยบ. The reason that I immediately shut my system off was because it was, in fahrenheit, over 100 degrees! Keep in mind that my problem doesn't lie with my computer crashing, but with Dolphin as an application crashing. Something that might relate to the crash was that i needed to install a wireless adapter into my system in order to get internet access. I had installed it right next to my graphics card (the wireless adapter wouldn't fit anywhere else), and I just left it like that. The wireless adapter is blocking one of the three fans that are on the graphics card... RE: Dolphin crashes every 30 - 120 seconds - Kodiack - 01-23-2014 40C is completely normal. It's not until you're 90-100C+ that you should be considered. You're looking at 200F or higher at that point. Basically, you don't need to worry about it unless you can almost boil water on your hardware. |
