CPU speed in RealTemp - cyrax33 - 01-11-2014

Good day folks,

First of all wanted to mention how great this emulator is. I have a question in regards to RealTemp, when I put my pc on High Performance mode RealTemp is fluctuating 3.4 - 3.7 ghz of CPU, however everytime I fire up Dolphin in the startup screen at the top it always indicates CPU @ 2.5 ghz. Can Dolphin only use the max of 2.5 ghz on my pc or is the CPU indicating RealTemp the actual usage overall? If so is there a way that I can set Dolphin to use pass 2.5ghz?

Dolphin is running smooth here I was just curious thats all. Thanks guys.

My specs:

Intel i5 4200M
Nvidia Geforce GT720M 2gb
Windows 8.1
Dolphin 4.0

Dolphin only gets the default clockspeed for your CPU, not the Turbo Boost speed. I'd trust RealTemp, as it's a dedicated CPU info reader and Dolphin definitely isn't. There's also no real way for an app to not use the full clockspeed of a CPU unless it intentionally throttles itself, and Dolphin of all things wouldn't be doing that.

Hmm, so whats indicating RealTemp is the actual CPU usage then.
