Another "its not working for me" thread - bob123 - 01-07-2014

First off... sorry. I know this has been discussed a LOT. I am making this thread, because I've been beating my head against the wall trying to get this working.

First off

YES I
- updated drivers, vc# 2013, updated DX,
- researched a lot of "fixes"
- tried running as an admin
- tried all three graphics options
- tried different versions of dolphin ( about 10 versions, from old to new)
- am aware this system isnt the best, but it should at least try to run the game right?
- played around with settings for literally hours
- tried more than one game

I load dolphin, starts up fine. I can access everything in the menus, and select an iso and attempt to start it.

upon start up I get this loading screen, that lists system information and where the iso is located, etc... and immediately after that pops up "Dolphin.exe has stopped working" blah blah. I have tried seemingly everything... any help ould be insanely appreciated. Thanks guys

It would help if you told everyone what processor and GPU you are using. If it's too old, Dolphin won't run at all.

Oh, I had to input all that crap in my registration, figured it would show haha.

Well, Im 100% using this as a test bed to actually set up a wii for a project im doing, dont expect any playable frame rates, but I figured it would at least try to run it.

Intel t5800 2ghz dual core
4gb ram
geforce 9200MGS graphics

Ah crap. I was making my roms incorrectly... Redid super smash brothers and it loaded right up Undecided

FPS is horrendous haha

That should be enough to get it running, even if it's not full speed. The only advice I can give you is to keep reading the forums and make sure all the drivers are installed correctly. Any other error messages?

Glad you got it. What kind of speeds are you getting?

nothing playable, 30 ish fps. I didn't think it would be THAT bad haha. Time to add in the "real boy" here soon as I figure a way to get it to display on my monitor haha.

Melee or Brawl? It's been awhile, but I remember once playing Brawl at okay speeds on an Athlon x2. I don't know what you're using now, but maybe going back to an older Dolphin version would speed things up a bit, Or maybe I was less picky back then.

That may have been possible on really old builds, but not anymore

(Poor Paul, he´ll blow up by always mentioning V.S.H. when anyone can do that). Under OpenGL, select Vertex Streaming Hack.

That gives a lot of speed-ups on NVidia GPUs.

You also have to activate other hack in the game configurations (right-click a title, then properties), but I can´t remind now...
