Audio stutters when playing GameCube roms? - AwesomeTobi - 12-27-2013

When I play Brawl, everything is fine. But when I play Melee, or any kind of Gamecube game, the sound stutters. Why is that? Is there some kind of way to fix it?

If necessary, here's my CPU specs:

OS: Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel Core i5-3330 CPU @3.00Hz 3.00GHz
RAM: 6.00 GB
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics
1 TB of memory (Hard Drive)

Try enabling TurboBoost. Set Windows in High Performance mode. See if it helps. Also, what build you are using?

I'm using 4.02. I downloaded from the official site, here.

Well, what about the results? Did the FPS go up (a bit)?

I put High Performance mode, seems that it doesn't change. According to sites, TurboBoost should be automatically enabled.

If the framerate is below 60 fps, the audio is going to stutter. Your computer SHOULD be able to run Melee full speed. If it's not because of framerate problems, it could be something off about your computer.

You could also try OpenAL...

In what latency? OpenAL changes the FPS to 36 :S

Finally, I used DSound, and I used auto adjust Windows Size, seems the problem is fixed.

I bet you had used either high internal resolution or multiple 640x528 (base on your monitor res) before . Integrated GPU - Intel HD 4000 can't handle high res in Dolphin .
If you are a gamer then you definitely should have a video card . Sth like EVGA GTX 650 will do the job
