Managing memory cards? - Rarewolf - 12-23-2013

okay switching to the new version of dolphin 94.0) messed me up badly.
i saved dolphin to my E:Gaming HDD but its in documents... well kinda all the settings are.
well a little back into subject.
i tried using my old saves but dolphin couldnt read them. i tried everything. i even tried copying my usa saves to my memorycardA.eur.raw file
but i think i messed up doing that. now im starting fresh... something i wish i didnt have to do.
but i want to know if there is a better way to manage my memorycards/ save files to only have one card?
and having dolphin only read from the harddrive it was set to?
thanks in advance and sorry if its been answered, i have been googling this for two days now.

Don't do that. The memory cards are split by region for a reason, but Dolphin doesn't really treat multiple regions of a memory card as separate memory cards. MemoryCardA.***.raw is all considered the memory card in slot A; which one is in use depends on the region of the game you're playing.

For future reference, if you're migrating from 3.5 or earlier to 4.0, just take your whole User folder, rename it to "Dolphin Emulator", and put it in your "My Documents" folder. No need to do anything more specific than that unless you're OCD about it.
