Having issues with manually edited ini not saving. - Nevermore - 12-16-2013

Checking various options either through Dolphin or the game itself seems to save without issues, but when trying to manually edit the config file, it simply does not save, even when it asks if I want to overwrite and I say yes. I've moved the dolphin folder to My Documents as has been suggested in other threads, I've tried starting Dolphin as Admin, and I've even tried to enable full control for all users in the security tab, but nothing is saving as though it can't be written.

The main reason I even need to bother with this is because I was trying to play with some Gecko codes, yet manually trying to write them did nothing. I downloaded a list just fine (even though I only wanted a single code), yet I cannot edit it because of these write issues. Using Dolphin 4.01 if that makes any difference.

I don't know if this is your issue, but Dolphin reads from the "GameSettings" folder now instead of "GameConfig". Game configs have been split into the game's default settings (stored in the "Sys" folder sitting next to Dolphin.exe) and your changes/additions to them (stored in "GameSettings"); the folder name change is to prevent migrated pre-4.0 configs from overriding all the current ones.
