Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - manu1433 - 12-06-2013 I've searched your forums trying to find a solution as to why I can't run gamccube games at better frame rates. Mario Kart Double Dash and Windwaker both stay at around 30fps. I can't get them to improve. Help? I'm using an i5 dell inspiron se with a GT 650m also using the latest version of dolphin from this site RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - JMC47 - 12-06-2013 You are aware that Wind Waker (And Double Dash in some modes) only run at 30 fps, right? Click "Options" and go to the configuration tab and confirm that framelimiter is on "auto" RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - manu1433 - 12-06-2013 well...double dash definitely goes slightly over...hasn't been above 32 or 33 though the frame limiter is indeed set on auto i also set my nvidia control panel to were dolphin would run through the 650m and it made no difference RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - LordVador - 12-07-2013 (12-06-2013, 01:44 PM)manu1433 Wrote: double dash definitely goes slightly over...hasn't been above 32 or 33 though Show us what your other settings look like but it seems your CPU is just not fast enough for this game. In comparison to Zelda WW, that's pretty "light", Double Dash is a bit more demanding RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - manu1433 - 12-07-2013 (12-07-2013, 12:20 AM)LordVador Wrote:(12-06-2013, 01:44 PM)manu1433 Wrote: I'm currently at work and can't upload screens of the settings yet. My buddy who is running it at 60 fps is doing it with an A8....i know the A8 is better for gaming but is it really that much better? RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - DJBarry004 - 12-07-2013 Out of curiosity, can you specify your Inspiron model? It´s just for research (and probably help you). ![]() Since you are using 4.0.2, I´ll get it and test Mario Kart DD. Will tell you my results later. (oh hell no, that editor ninja´d me again...) ![]() RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - manu1433 - 12-07-2013 I'm using a 3230m RE: Need to improve FPS on gamecube games - DJBarry004 - 12-08-2013 You specified the CPU model (i5-3230M), but you still have to specify the laptop model (inspiron SE 15R, SE 17R...). Just in case, does your machine looks like this? (It´s an image of the SE 15R). ![]() http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Inspiron-15R-SE-Definition/dp/B00CIBNJVG |
