What is the best way to view this information? RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - rokclimb15 - 11-26-2013 I usually use CoreTemp. RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - EvanOz85 - 11-26-2013 Thanks. Do I just open the program and paste the numbers, or do I need to have a game running? RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - KHg8m3r - 11-26-2013 Running the game with CoreTemp open shows the temperature under load from Dolphin. Also, make sure your computer is in high performance mode under power management, your graphics card is set to high performance under Nvidia Control panel, and that you have everything up to date: windows updates, drivers, directx web updater, and visual c++ RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - EvanOz85 - 11-26-2013 Everything is in high performance mode, and all drivers are up to date. I used a program called Open Hardware Monitor...can you guys see anything wrong here? These were taken while experiencing low FPS in SMG. RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - KHg8m3r - 11-26-2013 Looks like the first two cores on the CPU are being used (as expected) but not running too hot. The first GTX is hitting max usage, but it seems fine.... Anyone else? RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - EvanOz85 - 11-26-2013 This is extremely frustrating for me, as being able to run games full-speed on Dolphin was one of the main things I was looking forward to when buying this computer. RE: SMG and other games run SLOW on brand new Alienware - pauldacheez - 11-26-2013 There's probably little else you can do aside from overclocking the CPU, assuming the BIOS/UEFI lets you do that on that thing. (Lucky for you, Ivy Bridge overclocks quite a bit easier than Haswell does.)
