Wiimotes fine in Dolphin & Glovepie, install blue soleil - lose all connectivity - Suprvgeta - 11-19-2013 Hey guys, I'm currently using the following BlueTooth adapter: Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter I'm using the default drivers that came on the disc of this bluetooth dongle. Dolphin and glovepie work (both latest versions), and I am able to sync my wiimotes with both programs successfully. The problem is, in Dolphin games my wii sensor is not very accurate, and stutters/lags. I first installed a file on this forum for a Toshiba Stack. It didn't really do anything, but did make my wiimote a little more accurate. I am able to completely solve my wiimote accuracy by installing Blue Soleil (in addition to my already existing drivers apparently - I have two bluetooth adapter icons on my Win7 64-bit edition after doing so - although blue soleil doesn't really detect anything). This makes my wiimotes extremely accurate using Dolphin, which is excellent. The only problem is, after installing blue soleil, once I run a glovepie script attempting to use Snes9x with my wiimote and classic controller pro now, it won't connect. And even worse, I also lose the ability to connect to dolphin (stopping the script and restarting does nothing to help fix). After installing Blue Soleil [and then running glovepie one time] I basically lose the ability to connect my wiimotes to any program. I'm guessing there is a driver conflict somewhere here, but don't know how to resolve it. I would really like to keep the accurate wiimote sensoring in Dolphin that Blue Soleil provides. How do I get glovepie and blue soleil to not conflict with each other? Thank you for your help in advance! RE - MayImilae - 11-19-2013 What type of wii remote is it? Is it a regular ol' wiimote or a wiimote plus? RE: RE - Suprvgeta - 11-19-2013 (11-19-2013, 07:51 AM)MaJoR Wrote: What type of wii remote is it? At this point I think I might have to just install blue soleil, take the better wiimote sensitivity using dolphin and ability to use classic controller pro on Gamecube, and then just forego using glovepie. I will then use a dualshock3 through USB/motioninjoy to play my SNES/NES emulators. Hopefully that works. It's a shame, because I really like glovepie. RE: Wiimotes fine in Dolphin & Glovepie, install blue soleil - lose all connectivity - pauldacheez - 11-19-2013 Dolphin doesn't currently have any built-in option to use a Classic Controller for GameCube games; you'd need to use GlovePie for that. (Also, the SCP drivers that MaJoR'll inevitably recommend to you are much better than motioninjoy if you're gonna go the PS3 'pad route.) RE: Wiimotes fine in Dolphin & Glovepie, install blue soleil - lose all connectivity - MayImilae - 11-19-2013 The Toshiba Stack and Blue Solei are, well, better than the microsoft bluetooth stack. Even on the best of days, the MS bluetooth stack is a bit laggy and bleh. Most people don't have a problem with it though (until they try it with the toshiba stack and go WOW). The MS bluetooth stack doesn't even support all of the bluetooth functionality, requiring the Toshiba Stack for -TR wiimotes. Blue Solei... honestly I'm not sure about it. I haven't used it personally, but everything I've seen from it is that it's an unstable option that was mostly abandoned a long time ago. Fortunately, the Toshiba stack will do everything you want. Not only does glovepie work, it works way better, with much greater speed and reliablity. AND the Toshiba Stack has fast and super reliably wiimote connectivity in Dolphin, so no lags or hiccups of any kind, AND it supports -TR wiimote pluses. Considering your situation, I highly recommend you try it again. Why did you remove it? Why did you move on to Blue Soleil? And for the Dual Shock 3, make sure you use either Better DS3 or (my favorite) the SCP Drivers. There is zero reason to use vanilla Motion in Joy at this point. Better DS3 has all of Motion in Joys options without the ads and bluescreens and remote code execution; while the SCP Drivers have simplicity, open source everything, and extreme reliably. Pick whichever one you want, as long as it is NOT vanilla motion in joy. Spoiler: (Show Spoiler)
Of course, just like everything else, because of how the DS3 works a bluetooth dongle has to be converted into a "PS3 bluetooth emulator", so that dongle is no longer a proper bluetooth dongle. You'll have to have two dongles, one for the DS3 and one for bluetooth for Dolphin and Glovepie. That's my arrangement right now. One for the DS3, one for the Toshiba Stack. I can use my DS3 and my Classic Controller at the same time .
RE: Wiimotes fine in Dolphin & Glovepie, install blue soleil - lose all connectivity - Suprvgeta - 11-19-2013 Thank you for all of the input guys. I have decided to get rid of glovepie for the time being. After trying many things different times, and going back to restore points to correct stuff, I just cannot get glovepie to work w/ the blue soleil/toshiba stack. For some reason it just kills all of my bluetooth connectivity. I like the DS3 with emulators quite well, and have it plugged in through a couple of USB cables. 10 ft is plenty, and hey... gives me some nostalgic feel of old SNES controllers. For some reason my bluetooth adapter doesn't like motionjoy, so I have to use the cables. I'll look into the SCP Drivers posted above, as I already have Better DS3 installed. Quite frankly, I'm only using vanilla motion joy ATM because it's the only thing that has worked for me ![]() Edit: NM, I am not installing Blue Soleil, I reinstalled the Toshiba stack and i'm getting equivalent performance w/ the wiimote, and now I can use glovepie. Now... onto these SCP Drivers. P.S. - Anybody have quick links to a compilation of glovepie scripts, I've amassed a few through Google, but would appreciate some classic system scripts if anybody has them. Thanks! |
