Dolphin doesn't load memory card - Polikina - 11-18-2013
Hello, i've been using dolphin since 3.0, now i have dolphin 4.0
Dolphin 4.0 worked fine, but suddenly, I tried to play, and i noticed i had old saves of games. So i went to select the memory card i use, but each time i click on it and select it, when I play, it still selects the memory card called "MemoryCardA" with the old saves. What is odd, is that it's not a .raw nor a .gcp file and heck, the file "MemoryCardA" doesn't even exist on my computer. It's the same for the slot B except the ghost memory card is called "MemoryCardB". When I go to the Dolphin file in the config folder and i look at the text file in the section memory card, it says the memory card I want in slot A is in the slot A, but when i play, it uses "MemoryCardA".
Anyone know what happened and how to fix it, because I can't play because of this.

Problem solved even though i'm pissed. Turns out it was when i used my SD card from my wii, I had made .raw files called "MemoryCardA" and "MemoryCardB" for my two real GCN memory cards. I had used then to transfer files and when I took off the SD card from my computer, my two fake memory cards from my SD card satyed as default for Dolphin. Dolphin wasn't able to replace them, so when I changed "MemoryCardA" for my other fake memory card on my laptop, the saves files from games both on "MemoryCardA" and my memory card combined. When there was a file for the same game on both memory cards, the one from "MemoryCardA" would overwrite the one from the memory card on my computer. Since I had made a backup for my game Fire Emblem Path of Radiance on my real memory card 4 months ago, I lost all of what I've done since then.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by locating the memory card location used by the old version of Dolphin and selecting that for the memory card location in Dolphin 4.0.
